Watermills on the Pliva River

The watermills on the Pliva River, 5 km from the center of Jajce, date back to the Middle Ages. Twenty water mills, built on the travertine barrier between the Great and Small Pliva lakes, make a great contribution to the ambiance of the historic town of Jajce and are an expression of local carpentry skills and traditional construction methods.
